according to oxford dictionary

the voluntary giving of help, typically in the form of money, to those in need

but who are we to judge others! on their need

Charity is doing things which make others happier

which in turn makes us happy

Thus 

charity is doing or giving things to others which make both others and us happy


Hence do not feel the need for judging others while doing charity. if it makes both parties happy, then do it
